Philip McVay
Director, Horizon Care Ltd; Director, ClearCare Solutions Ltd


Philip McVay is the founder and managing director of Horizon Care Ltd.
McVay has worked in the Social Care sector for over ten years. Horizon Care operates small homes for young people in the care system who display complex and challenging behaviour. The homes are located across Lancashire, Manchester and Staffordshire and are overseen by a Care Director. All homes run the ClearCare system.

McVay is responsible for administering the overall budget and fund allocation and is responsible for all financial decision making. He is fully involved in the day to day running of the homes. Horizon Care currently employs around sixty staff.

 


Phil Beaumont

Director, ClearCare Solutions Ltd


Phil Beaumont has been Residential Care Manager of children’s care homes.
Beaumont has had a long career in software development, including technical consultant for Webcare Data Synchronisation Module (DSM) for INsolutions, California; as an Integration Analyst/Developer at Standard Bank, Johannesburg; and with the Ford Motor Company and J Sainsbury plc as a senior analyst and developer.

Since early 2003, Beaumont has trained in all aspects of residential care, where he ensures that full compliance with the Care Standards Act 2000 and National Minimum Standards is adhered to daily. He has just completed studying for a DipSw with the Open University.

 


Nigel Johnson

Director, ClearCare Solutions Ltd


Johnson has over 18 years experience in multi-million dollar IT projects for many
large international companies worldwide. His work has passed Ministry of Defence audits. Johnson has had sole responsibility for highly fault tolerant systems, on which the safety of airliners and companies profitability has directly depended. These roles have encompassed architecture, costing, business system design, development, implementation, maintenance, testing and, importantly, customer relationships, that have enabled him to create the required solution with quality built-in from the ground up.

Johnson’s quality philosophy was gained at Rolls Royce, his technical skills at Rolls Royce and IBM, with the whole rounded off with a commitment to fault-free continuous availability at KLM.

 


Richard Yeomans

Director, ClearCare Solutions Ltd


Yeomans has spent over 18 years helping large companies like Rolls-Royce and Airbus migrate from complex paper based systems to more efficient IT based systems. Yeomans has been responsible for project managing large and complex software implementations involving many thousands of users distributed across the world.

 


The Product


ClearCare Solutions Ltd. designs products to operate on all hardware that is capable of connecting with the internet.

The ClearCare application exists on our own server. We provide updates from our own central location to enable our customers to receive our upgrades instantly across all their locations and computers at the same instance, with no human intervention or even changes to the customer’s hardware. Customisations entered to the customer’s own copy of ClearCare will also be available instantly across all locations and devices.

If a customer’s PC fails, is lost or stolen, it is possible to replace it with any other similar device and use it instantly without any installation. All data is stored centrally on ClearCare’s secure and backed up servers, so a customer is completely safeguarded against disaster such as a fire, theft or hardware failure. This data server is protected behind our application server through a firewall and is not directly accessible. All interactions are encrypted. All views and updates performed against this data are logged and that information is either viewable through ClearCare or through detailed logs. These logs can be made available, for example, to a criminal investigation.
